Debbie Downer

I just woke up and the first thing I read was an e-mail from an old friend who joined the Peace Corps and was sent off to Ukraine. He found out in January that he’s HIV positive & they fired him and sent him back home because of it and now he’s involved in an ACLU battle with them.

Jeremiah is a strong and positive person and I’m sure he’ll come out on top. Still, I’m really sad to find out about this diagnosis and to know he is dealing with coming out about that on top of being fired from his job, shipped back across the country, and making national news for a horrible legal battle.

Jeez. It’s not even 9am yet.

Al-bacore when will you be happy again

Am I the only person alive who is incapable of reading the word “Albacore” without bursting into that Palomar song in my head? I can’t even read a lunch menu in peace. This has been going on for years. I love that song though, so I can’t complain.
