Some residents of the Greek island of Lesbos say they are the only true Lesbians - and want gay groups all over the world to stop using the word.

For starters, they’ve asked a court to make the Gay and Lesbian Community of Greece change its name.

It’s a matter of identity, not sexuality, insists plaintiff Dimitris Lambrou. “We must protect our identity, the name that defines our origin, from being stolen,” he said. “Our legal actions have nothing to do with the sexual orientation of our adversaries.”
